The first week of my training is done, and I couldn’t be happier to be back on track. In total, I covered 25 kilometers and climbed 957 meters – quite the challenge, but that’s exactly what makes it exciting!

The week started off easy with a few short runs to ease back into the rhythm without overdoing it. But Friday was the highlight: 8 kilometers and the majority of the elevation gain. That climb reminded me how much work lies ahead – and that’s what keeps me motivated.

Over the weekend, I deliberately slowed down to recover. It’s all about building a sustainable base and not burning out right at the beginning.
My takeaway: Every step counts! This week has shown me that it’s not about being perfect but about enjoying the process. Now I’m looking forward to week two – and to clocking in more kilometers and elevation.
– See you soon,
Mike
